Ironworks Building
The Ironworks Building located at 3850 Vine Street has undergone substantial renovation to consist of 32,000 square feet of first class office space. The interior of the building is a showcase of contemporary design set within the red brick walls of Riverside history. This work has been completed by Alan Mruvka, an entertainment entrepreneur and New York/Beverly Hills real estate developer, who purchased the building in approximately 2002.
Originally, the building was erected in 1916 at a cost of $3,000 by California Iron Works, an equipment company machining products for citrus packing houses. A second house was completed in 1922 for the Stebler’s California Iron Works and George Parker’s Parker Machine Works. Both manufactured citrus packing and handling equipment. During the years, various businesses operated within the building including Lewis Food Store Bakeries and Sage’s Bakery.
